RE: Israel – Palestine Conflicts
Dear Sir,
I am writing this
letter to you to address the Israel-Palestine conflict asap. The U.N. Human
Rights Council has passed more resolutions condemning Israel than any other
nations in the world since its creation in 2006. Israel is claiming to be a
modern democracy but it continues to flout international law. We need an urgent
measure that will protect Palestinians men, women and children and provide a
short-term humanitarian relief and rehabilitation. We have to deter the future violations
of international humanitarian law in both Israel and Palestine.
Sir, Your good
office condemned on May 14, 2018 appalling deadly violence by Israeli Security
Forces in Gaza. On May 15, 2018 you suppose to call for an independent
investigation but you told a regular briefing in Geneva that “Israel had a
right to defend its borders according to international law”. You just repeated
the US President Hon. Trump statement “Israel has a right to defend itself”. In
my view this is unacceptable sir. As per your view, it is fair enough on the
right to defend itself but please explain your justification for the shooting
of 8 innocent children’s. Unless I am mistaken, U.N. has the responsibility to
the Palestinians to ensure that Israel should keeps to the agreement that was
made in 1948. We need a right minded leader to speak up on both Israel and
Palestine. Israel claims that Palestinians broken the border, destroyed
military facilities and kidnapped Israeli soldiers. I say with confidence that
the Palestinians never broke the border but Israeli security forces drones fire
tear gas at Gaza-Israel border protest. (It is available in youtube)
Sir, the current
Israeli regimen obliterated the founding principles of the Israel. Israel has
committed more atrocities on inhuman and illegal treatment of unarmed
protestors. We should be ashamed for trying to justify this atrocity. I’m
highly appalled any regime that shoots unarmed civilians has absolutely no
legitimacy. I’m highly condemning this violence vociferously and publicly. If
we want peace in the region, we need some majority people from both Israel and
Palestine to rise up and declare that they want peace and work together because
their voice is most important to bring the peace in the region or U.N. should
be trade sanctions against Israel so that Israel will change their whole
approach to the Palestinians people and Gaza. Otherwise, Israel will continue
to build on Palestinian land and continue its land grabbing with the blessings
of the USA.
Sir, I most humbly
prayed you an independent inquiry into violence on the border between Israel
and Gaza. I would like to see your good office as the best route to
establishing independent inquiry. The U.N. has the reputation for the justice
and it brings peaceful resolution to the violence and an alleviation of the
humanitarian crisis.
Respectfully yours,
Athinarayanan
Sanjeevraja.
