RE: BORIS BREXIT DEAL 2019
Suggestion:
Hon. President, let me start paying my respects to you and through you to. It
would appear patently clear that Mr. Boris Johnson doesn’t understand the
basics of what the EU single market and the GFA are? Mr. Boris Johnson did not
think through the process and implications of BREXIT from the EU. Mr. Boris
Johnson understands none of the BREXIT issues since 2016 which make BREXIT
unworkable. He promised to British people a frictionless invisible border.
According to Mr. Boris Jonson customs checks in the UK warehouse are not
frictionless. His BREXIT proposals argued Northern Ireland Assembly will decide
whether to keep the regulatory alignment with the EU every four years. If the
Northern Ireland decides not to keep an alignment with the UK what happens at
the border? Even if the UK government doesn’t want to conduct checks, Republic
of Ireland would have to conduct checks. Otherwise the goods didn’t meet the EU
standards that could be imported from the UK and sold inside the EU single
market. Will the regulatory alignment prevent smuggling? Where is the integrity
of the EU customs union and the EU single market? A non-existent border or
regulatory alignment alone would allow smuggling. If Northern Ireland doesn’t
follow the EU rules, it would be rife with smuggling. Northern Ireland trade
relationship with the UK is largely unworkable. Even it would make the UK worse
than regulatory border between the UK and Republic of Ireland at the Northern
Ireland border. Any BREXIT deal has to consider the legal status of the
Irish-British border. I just wanted to highlight the EU withdrawal Act 2018
Section 10 (2) (b) explicitly commits “the UK not to create or facilitate
border arrangements between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland after
BREXIT day which feature physical infrastructure checks and controls including
border post, that did not exist before BREXIT day and are not in accordance
with an agreement between the UK and the EU.” In case of no deal BREXIT, we have to be
implemented border control in Ireland. We will be blamed for it. Hard border in
Ireland is very unattractive for us.
Hon.
President, the GFA requires Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to be in
the EU customs union at a minimum. We’ve already discussed couple of years back
that constitutional position of Northern Ireland under the GFA could not be
changed without the agreement of Irish people. Surely, this is not best plan. Mr.
Boris BREXIT deal doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Mr. Boris Johnson is
playing a game of incompetent. The UK has to honour the GFA it signed. BREXIT
deal should be acceptable to the UK, the EU and international law. If Mr. Boris
Johnson does not come up with a new suitable plan by October 31, 2019 that the
EU Parliament agree on then by law, he has to write to the European Council
President Hon. Donald Tusk and ask for an extension whatever the European
Council agrees to. Let the UK to be in the EU throughout the transition period
until the end of 2020. IMHO, there is no more chance new BREXIT deal can be
agreed by the EU before October 31, 2019. As long as the UK is willing to
follow the EU law, we would be happy to keep on extending the deadline. If Mr.
Boris Johnson not asking for an extension to the BREXIT leaving date October31,
2019 or if Boris Johnson tries to leave the EU without a deal on October 31,
2019, or if he is tearing apart the fabric of 70 years of peace, he has broken
the law and find himself in jail. The law was enacted in the month of September
2019 to force Mr. Boris Johnson to not crash out of the EU with no deal BREXIT.
The UK Parliament signed a law that Mr. Boris Johnson was not allowed to no
deal BREXIT and has to get an extension if there was no agreement between the
UK and the EU. Mr. Boris Johnson has to strict to fulfill his legal obligation.
If Mr. Boris Johnson defies Parliament again, the Queen must ask for legal
advice on scolding Mr. Boris Johnson for sure. Mr. Boris Johnson has to resign.
If Mr. Boris Johnson resigned, the next move would be for the Queen to appoint
an interim Prime Minister as per the repeal of the Fixed Term Parliament Act,
then to grant parliament dissolution and call for a general election. Mr. Boris
Johnson is increasingly ignoring Northern Ireland, Scotland and probably Wales
during the whole BREXIT process. The honourable path for Mr. Boris Johnson is
to allow Northern Ireland to remain in the EU customs union if Mr. Boris
Johnson doesn’t support second referendum or general election.
Hon.
President, I most humbly request the EU to drawing hard lines for BREXIT to
keep other member states from bailing. We should not make any more concessions
for BREXIT. We should not allow the UK to overly cherry picks its BREXIT. We
should not compromise our EU single market, EU customs union, and treaty that are
guaranteed our standards. We should not deviate from fundamental four freedoms.
We should not bow to the UK demands. We should not sign off any plan that
creates a hard border between the Northern Ireland and the UK because the hard border
will obviate the GFA, lead to renewal of sectarian violence, weakens the all-Ireland
economy and integrity of the EU single market and the EU customs union. We
should not want a hard border with Northern Ireland. We should not have to
change the way we governs. We should not make major strategic error on BREXIT. I
have been told many times any BREXIT deal should safeguard peace on the island
of Ireland. Let the UK is at severe risk of breaking all norms. Indeed, Mr.
Boris Johnson has violated many British norms. If the UK is heading for
narcissistic nationalism then it will have to go backward. Our financial sector
has been headquartered in London. We will move our financial sector
headquartered to Paris or Frankfurt that will cause more unemployment and its
tax revenue drop accordingly in the UK. The UK can no longer fund its NHS at
its pre-BREXIT. BREXITERS lies nothing to help.
Hon.
President, Mr. Boris Johnson is not only challenging the EU but the Queen too.
He is hardening his line to gain more electorate for the UK general election.
He thinks that he is bigger than the EU 27, the Queen and above all. Boris
BREXIT deal is the less likely to be accepted by the UK Parliament. Mr. Boris
Johnson never to come up with any BREXIT plans that the UK Parliament and the
European Parliament to be accepted. Either the UK Parliament has to find some
way to reverse BREXIT or MP’s vote to oust Mr. Boris Johnson with no confidence
or defeating Mr. Boris Johnson a general election. BREXIT is going to go on for
years and years. Let’s give the UK long extension so that the UK understands
the EU’s red lines. However, it is our obligation to protect our single market,
our customs union, our four freedoms, our political institutions and our
economic institutions. We should not be put all at risk just for BREXIT. Any
BREXIT deal should not have catastrophic consequences for the cohesion of the
EU. Better to wait. Time can resolve many things.
Thank you very much for your kind attention
Hon. President!
Respectfully yours,
