RE: Your Speech on Europe in-out referendum.

Suggestion: Good Morning Mr. Prime Minister. I had read your complete speech on EU very recently. You had said in your speech "Britain could make her own way in the world outside the EU". As an Analyst, I can say that you are wrong Mr. Prime Minister. It is not a good idea to leave EU. It would be absolute worst thing that could happen to UK because EU is by far the strongest force in the world for free trade. For instance, EU is presently finalising FTA with Canada. EU has genuine FTA with South Korea. Recently, EU is finalising FTA with Singapore. The numbers speak for themselves. You may argue that FTA still likely with EFTA, EEC or individual treaties like Switzerland and Norway but indeed, geography matters after all for trading Mr. Prime Minister. In addition, UK imports more from EU than it exports to EU. If EU imposed heavy tariffs on imported products it would be significantly harming UK economy.

Let me put it in perspective. EU gives businessess access to nearly 500 million consumers for UK business sector and makes UK more prosperous till 2007. Thereafter, UK economy slipped into recession due to global financial crisis 2008.  Today, Britain is blaming the UK's poor growth on euro crisis. Most Britain are in favour of leaving the EU. Mr. Prime Minister, it is your job to educate British people, leaving the EU may mark the start of nightmare of British econnomy. Britain has done a fantastic job in building the EU for global free trade. The UK-EU free market trade increased consumer choice and goods are no longer delayed in customs and delivering goods on time or shortly and bringing down the price for consumers.

UK could join NAFTA to create counterveiling power of traded disputes but ultimately this would create bad relationship with Europe. UK economy is already in fragile. It would be double tragedy for UK.  Even child would be smart enough to pick an option for trading with EU benefits or individual treaties benefits. Britain cannot be success without EU but EU can be success without Britain.  As you knew that EU is the biggest market in the world and it produces around 25 percent of global GDP. The EU is an innovative idea. Presently, EU is in crisis but the crisis is temporary. In my view, United States of Europe is a solution. EU will be a success project without UK.

Thank you very much for your kind attention Mr. Prime Minister.

Sincere Regards,
Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja.

Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

To put things into perspective, Nagorno-Karabakh is not an independent entity but an occupied territory of the Azerbaijan Republic and is recognised by the international community and the UN. The fact that the Armenian Prime Minister's son is doing his military service in the Armenian army located in Azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh and started an undeclared war against Azerbaijan, occupied Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 adjacent regions of Azerbaijan, and massacred and forcefully deported Azerbaijani aborigines was the main reason for the lack of peace in the region. The laws of armed conflict failed to protect the Nagorno-Karabakh civilian population, individual civilians, and civilian property. The laws of armed conflict failed to discriminate between those taking parts in the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh. The laws of armed conflict failed to protect the environment as war causes severe or long term damage to the environment. The fact here is that there is a number of international doc...

SUGGESTION TO THE BANK OF ENGLAND GOVERNOR SIR MERVYN KING

SUGGESTION TO THE BANK OF ENGLAND GOVERNOR SIR MERVYN KING To:               The Right Honorable Bank of England Governor Sir Mervyn King   From:           Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja Date:            October 17, 2011 RE:               QE Suggestion:    Identify and correct the fundamental factors that are behind low economic growth.  Good Morning Sir. The Bank of England has decided to undertake more QE. I agreed that during the financial crisis of 2007-2008 monetary policy was effective in re-establishing liquidity in the main developed economies especially US, UK and Europe. But current economic conditions in developed economies reveal problems whose solutions are far beyond the scope of monetary an...
