UNITED STATES OF EUROPE TO SAVE GREECE 2012

To: The Right Hon’ble European Commission President José Manuel Barroso From: Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja  Date: May 18, 2012 RE: United States of Europe to save Greece  Suggestion: Good Morning Mr. President. Financial Times, London reported that “Euro Exit Scenario”. I love the idea of EU since it formed. Obviously, to keep Euro strong, we cannot let any European members default. The failing of Greece will surely lead to the failing of European Union Mr. President. European Commission will have a reason to hope and more. European Commission should set an example to other that self managed national currency in an advantage to that country and its people. The European Union and IMF in the last two years imposed a number of severe cuts in all public spending in Greece and a wide increase of all kinds of taxes. It is my judgment that it was so wrong footed policy. The first step to cut pension and salaries in Greece where the basic salary was...

THE ECONOMIC CRISES IN SPAIN 2012

To: The Vice President of the Spain Government Mrs. Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría From: Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja  Date: April 18, 2012.  RE: The economic crises in Spain  Suggestion: Good Morning Mrs. Vice President. Of course, this is my first inscription to Spain Government. Financial Times, London articled on April 12, 2012 that “Spain needs pre-emptive action”. It addressed three main problems such as the budget, the banking sector and the labour market. The task is an arduous but it is not impossible because Spain has proven itself competent of economic reform and financial restructuring. If I am not mistaken, the country current account deficit was 10 percent GDP in 2008. The current account deficit descended to 3.7 percent in 2011. Spain has adjusted its current account deficit more than 6 pp of GDP at a spectacular space in three years. The significance of other economic reforms is such as reducing the budget deficit and labour market re...

CONSENT TO REPUDIATE COLLATERAL BONDS OF WEAK EU MEMBERS

CONSENT TO REPUDIATE COLLATERAL BONDS OF WEAK EU MEMBERS To: The Right Honourable European Central Bank President Dr. Mario Draghi  From: Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja Date: April 5, 2012  RE: Consent to repudiate collateral bonds of EU members whose credit rating descend below ECB standards.  Suggestion: Good Morning Mr. President. I wish to make comment to the ECB. Last week, you gave consent to the 17 national central banks in the euro system to repudiate collateral bonds backed by the government that have received a bailout from the EU and IMF whose credit rating descend below ECB standards. If I am not mistaken, Ireland, Greece and Portugal are received loans from the EU and IMF to keep their governments afloat. Deutsche Bundesbank and Oesterreichische National Bank are taking advantage of that freedom because of ECB decision to give EU central bankers freedom to repudiate collateral bonds of weak members. I anticipate that more central banks ...
