SUGGESTION TO THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK PRESIDENT JEAN-CLAUDE TRICHET

SUGGESTION TO THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK PRESIDENT JEAN -CLAUDE TRICHET To:      The Right Honorable European Central Bank President From:   Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:      Buying Italian and Spanish Bonds Suggestions: Good morning President. The Financial Times, London reported that ECB decision to start buying Italian and Spanish bonds. I knew that there may be significant threat to stability if the central bank did not act on buying Italian and Spanish bonds. ECB has played it well in both Italy and Greece collateral situation. The ECB can print as many Euro’s as it wants and buy European debt but the result will be high inflation. I knew that ECB one tool, one goal is price stability and thus bank credibility. I think that ECB on the right side. The rule of central banking is stable inflation. ECB is sticking to this even when facing harsh criticisms for people. I won’t recommend raising the interest rates because the ...

SUGGESTION TO THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

SUGGESTION TO THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA To:               The Right Honorable American President Barack Obama From:             Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:               US Economy Suggestions: Good Morning President. Yesterday I just tuned into BBC World, they were talking about same story of American economy. Let me be very clear, I am really disappointed that you promise to fix the problems but you are eventually failed to fix the problems. You have done everything wrong and made everything worse 9.1% unemployment, trillions upon trillions in corrupt spending like record number of people on food stamps and record unemployment payouts, finally you added trillions with healthcare industry giveaway which does nothing to tackle the 50% of health spending that is wasted. ...

EUROPEAN COMMISSION PRESIDENT JOSE MANUEL BARROSSO

To: The Right Honorable European Commission President José Manuel Barroso From: Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE: EU Summit Suggestions Good Morning President. The EU summit has brought major changes in the way the debt crisis can be handled. The European Council decisions offer new instruments to shape a sustainable solution for the Greece situation but European Council fail to eradicate all uncertainty concerning the eventual outcome of the Euro-zone debt crisis. The stability of the Euro-zone will depend on fiscal and economic policies and that foster progress towards a EU political union. I would like to highlight one important objection to debt monetization is that it leads to increases in a country’s money supply, devaluing its currency and weakening consumer purchasing power. But weak Euro policies will bring renewed export power to the European economies as well as increasing consumer wealth in creditor economies. This is precisely the kind of rebalancing t...

SUGGESTION TO SWISS NATIONAL BANK PRESIDENT PHILIPP HILDEBRAND

SUGGESTION TO SWISS NATIONAL BANK PRESIDENT PHILIPP HILDEBRAND To:                          The Honorable Swiss National Bank President Philipp Hildebrand From:                     Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:                          Rise in Swiss Franc Suggestions & Solutions: Good Morning President. I am writing to express the concern of rise in swiss franc. We know that currency appreciation boosts a strong economy, low inflation and low unemployment. In addition, it lowers the cost of commodity imports. In general currency appreciation softens the demand for exports but in Switzerland exports rise. I think that most of the swiss goods are “Veblen Goods”. I...

SUGGESTION TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN NAOTO KAN

SUGGESTION TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN NAOTO KAN To:               The Right Honorable Prime Minister Naoto KAN From:             Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:               Japan Manufacturing Issues (Industrial Policy) Suggestions: Good Morning Prime Minister. I am writing to express that Japan should maintain sizeable manufacturing capacity. I don’t believe that Japanese manufacturing will ever disappear from Japan . Japan has an excellent workforce and business environment for the companies. Japanese manufactures deliver both quality and service. I fact I love Japanese appliances. BBC world reported that Japanese manufacturing is deteriorating. If I am not mistaken ship building, electronics/electrical and automobiles are the three pillars of Japan industry. Already s...

SUGGESTION TO THE RT. HON. CHRIS HUHNE MP 2011

SUGGESTION TO THE RT. HON. CHRIS HUHNE MP (LD) To:               The Rt Hon Chris Huhne MP (LD) From:            Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:               UK Energy Sector Reform (Industrial Policy) Suggestions: Good Morning Sir. When I turned into BBC world, it reported that UK energy sector reform. Sir, particular privatized, regulated, liberalized model for electricity and gas based on full retail competition is broken and is damaging to consumers and the economy. The European Commission’s energy arm recently conceded that 85% of EU electricity and gas supplies are provided by no more 12 companies. For instance just think of major national champions EDF & GDF/Suez from France , ENI & ENEL from Italy and RWE & EON from Germany . If I am not mistaken, UK has half of t...

SUGGESTION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PRESIDENT JERZY BUZEK

SUGGESTION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PRESIDENT JERZY BUZEK To:               The Right Honorable European Parliament President From:             Athinarayanan Sanjeevraja RE:               EU policymakers misdiagnosed Greece Problems Suggestions: Good Morning Mr. President. There are few elements in the EU official line that have turned this into a full blown crisis. A year ago I wrote the European Commission President Mr. Barrosso, The Greece problem will go away if more debt is offered by the EU core to Greece at punitive rates. Now they are slowly facing the fact that Greece ’s problem is more profound. Most of the eminent economist predicted that Greece default and bondholders haircuts are now back in the frame. But I believe in EU, EU won’t allow Greece to default. T...
