RE: My Humble Request Your Good Government to Stop
Selling Arms to Azerbaijan.
Suggestion:
Hon.
President, let me start by paying my respect to you and through you to.
Azerbaijan is fighting for its own territorial integrity but it wants to wipe
out all Nagorno-Karabakh people who are ethnically Armenians. Armenia is
fighting for neighbours land and also ethnically cleansed the entire Karabakh
region of Azerbaijani including Kurds. Armenia and Azerbaijan democracy and
human rights have failed and continue to fail if Nagorno-Karabakh conflict not
resolved peacefully. In Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is an active phase of war
with several daily fatalities. They are bombing civilian populations. Their
destructive policy hampers the step by step resolution of the problem by all
means. It entailed social, economic and political dissatisfaction among Nagorno-Karabakh
populations. They should not opened fire on civilian residential areas. NK
population have been affected by years of genocide perpetuated by Armenia and
Azerbaijan respectively. Turkey would not stand up for Azerbaijan only rather
it would stand up for NK people.
Hon.
President, Azerbaijan is receiving supply of ballistic missiles and weapons
from Turkey. Turkey is profitable for its arms industry. Turkey must represent
the basics of NATO’s fundamental core values. We should not be allowed to the
continued genocide for the sake of arms sales. Your good government must know that
“The Convention
on Cluster Munitions (CCM) is an international treaty that
prohibits the use, transfer, and stockpiling of cluster bombs, a type
of explosive weapon which scatters submunitions
("bomblets") over an area. The convention was adopted on 30 May 2008 in Dublin and was opened for
signature on 3 December 2008 in Oslo.
It entered into force on 1 August 2010, six
months after it was ratified by 30 states. As of September 2020,
109 states have signed the treaty and 111 have ratified it or acceded to it.” Turkey needs to stop aid to Azerbaijan and stop
selling arms to Azerbaijan so that lives of Nagorno-Karabakh residents could
improve. It is time to give lasting peace a chance for NK residents, the
sooner, the better.
Thank
you very much!
With
Respectfully Yours,
Athinarayanan
Sanjeevraja.
NOTE:
The purpose of this letter is not to educate you about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh but to express stop selling arms
to Azerbaijan to end conflicts.
